It’s never too late to begin. Begin to learn a new skill, play an instrument, learn how to surf. For me, it took quite a long time to start to travel. Like most of us, I wound up spending too much time working and not enough time exploring. But not long ago, that all changed, and I suddenly went from never having traveled anywhere, to eight countries within the span of twenty-four months.
It wasn’t easy though. There were numerous things I had to learn, passports and licenses and stuff I had to procure, clothes I had to buy, places to research, plane tickets to book, and cameras to consider. Sound daunting? Perhaps… but somehow, I was able to figure enough out to get around the world a couple of times. Not too shabby for someone who recently had never been out of the country.
Then it dawned on me… Surely I wasn’t the only one that had to put their travel plans on hold until they were a little (ahem), more mature. And I realized that, regardless of age or experience, new travelers can always use a resource to help them on their way to global discovery. This website is the end result. I wanted to create a place and space to share some of my experiences in efforts to help anyone who doesn’t know how to get started in travel.
So, take it from me, it’s never too late to begin. It’s never too late to start. There is a wide, wide world of adventure out there waiting for you… and a beginner’s travel guide to help you with everything you need to know before you go.
